COLOUR-GRADING

 

Our experts in postproduction will suggest proper solutions to finalize your film. You can rely on our know-how both for the artistic choices (photography of the film, harmonization of different shots, etc.) and the technical aspects linked to postproduction and film mastering. 

 

WORKFLOW
We encourage you to contact us so that we can discuss the details of this phase of the postproduction work (colour-grading is only one of the film’s final touches). Once a film is completed, captioning, special effects and subtitling are to be considered. The master versions must also be defined: DCP, MXF, HDcam, BetaSP, BetaDigital, DVD, and web compressions.
We favour the use of ProRes 422 HQ codec, but we can also work on non-compressed 10bit (SD and HD), DVCpro HD or DPX formats.
For films shot on Red (One, Epic and Scarlet), we ensure conformation and are able to work on your RAW 5K, 4K, 3K or 2K rushes so as to enjoy the full scope of the RAW format.

 

TARIFS INDICATIFS
It takes on average one day to process 15 to 20 minutes of film: the film undergoes several corrective passes to achieve the correct levels and the required cinematographic effect. It takes 1 to 2 days to complete a short film; 2 to 3 days are required to process a 52-minute long documentary; for a documentary feature film, the treatment takes 3 to 4 days and 5 to 7 days for a fiction feature film.

The rates are of 1 100.- per day for SD colour-grading, and 1 4000.- for HD colour grading. We apply volume discounts starting on the second day of work. For 2K/4K work, the rate is of 1 700.- per day. These rates include the colour-grading and the first digital master version.
